As Of 5/1/24, The Women in Film & Television San Antonio Chapter Will Be In Residence At The BeXar

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, April 18, 2024 We are excited to announce that as of 5/1/24, Women in Film & Television San Antonio is in residence at THE BEXAR: SOCIAL, STUDIOS, WORKS “Where Art Meets Commerce” Is A Private Membership Community With Spaces, Services, And Programming At The Iconic 110 Broadway Building On The Capstone Corner Of Downtown San Antonio Just Steps From The Alamo, River Walk, Hemisfair, Civic Park, Theatre District, Museums, Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, UTSA, San Pedro Creek, World-Class Hotels, Dining, And The Cultural Corridor On Houston Street.

The iconic building’s architect is globally renowed Atlee B. Ayers whose San Antonio projects also included The Tower Life Building (among many more) and 118 Broadway that shares Peacock Alley with sister building 110 Broadway where WIFT SATX+ will be in residence on the sixth floor.

ABOUT WOMEN IN FILM & TELEVISION SAN ANTONIO

Women in Film & Television San Antonio (WIFT SATX+)  is the leading nonprofit membership organization chartered in November 2023 for people working in or pursuing a career in the Media & Entertainment industry in San Antonio, the Hill Country, the Coastal Bend, and South Texas including students, partners, and advocates of the organization.

WIFT SATX+ is proudly an official chapter of Women in Film & Television International “WIFTI” (Women in Film & Television International), a global network of more than 12,000 members and 70 partners and chapters located on six continents that for more than 50 years has been dedicated to advancing professional development and achievement for women working in all areas and expertise in the Media & Entertainment industry including film, video, journalism, performing arts, live entertainment, law, and more. Women in Film & Television San Antonio was founded by native San Antonian and Media & Entertainment veteran Ceslie Armstrong at the invitation of the global organization.

The Women in Film & Television San Antonio mission and programming are dedicated to promoting equity for women in the Media & Entertainment industry, and the organization offers memberships for all people who want to advocate, align with, and show support. College students from across the state, individuals with an interest in learning about the industry, partner organizations, and corporate members comprise the membership and team. The WIFT SATX+ mission includes building community across the industry while collaborating with other WIFTI chapters and partners globally and organizations in the region we serve.
